Eucharistic Revival
WHAT IS IT?
The Eucharist Revival – What it is and what to expect in the coming years
The Eucharistic Revival is a three-year initiative that is designed to educate, inspire, and unite us as Christians and Catholics, but to also bring Christ to ALL people, believers, and non-believers alike.
Today’s population does not know our Lord and Savior on even a basic, friendship level let alone on an intimate level. The Eucharistic Revival is meant not only to bring to the forefront of everyone’s hearts and minds the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, but to also nurture a powerful encounter with Christ; assist ALL people to a deeper relationship with our Lord and to bring to realization the true gift of the Living Christ present each time we attend the Mass.
We are called to go out and spread the Good News . . . the Eucharist Revival will assist us to do exactly that for the glory of God.
• This first year of the Revival invited diocesan staff, bishops, and priests to respond to the Lord's personal invitation and equips them to share this love with the faithful through Eucharistic congresses and events.
• Discernment of Revival Team
• Training of Revival Team
• Planning of Parish Revival Events/Activities
• Year of Parish Revival (June 2023-June 2024)
The second phase begins June 2023 in which all will be invited to participate in various activities that will nurture your journey. These activities will include:
• Fall Eucharistic Revival Retreat
• Bishop Cozzens’s Eucharist Sessions
• Bulletin inserts
• Resource Books
• Discipleship Formation Sessions on the Eucharist and Mass
• Eucharistic Processions
• Monthly 24 hr. Eucharistic Adoration
• Small group discussions and prayer
Resources will be made more available and all will be encouraged to participate in the events that will be designed to ignite a hunger for our faith and foster a deep, powerful encounter with our Lord and Savior.
• The third phase of the Revival begins in July 2024 and continues through Pentecost 2025. Having been infused with the fire of the Holy Spirit and being equipped with the head and heart knowledge given to us by the Holy Spirit through the events offered throughout the year we will be sent out on mission to share the gift of our Eucharistic Lord as we enter the universal Church’s jubilee year in 2025. Local and National missions and other events at the local and National level will be available for all.
Wouldn’t it be spectacular to have a “World Christ in the Eucharist Day” that mimics “World Youth Day”? It is possible – All things are possible through Christ . . .
